DMCA and takedown
How to report material you believe infringes your rights, what a notice must contain, and how it is handled.
What this covers
This page explains how vvstreams.site handles copyright complaints about the website and about the VVStreams release it publishes. The website itself does not host, store or transmit video. The APK is served by an external download host, and that host accepts notices about the file directly as well.
A notice about a specific stream or broadcast should identify the material clearly. Availability of a stream inside the app varies by region, and this page cannot confirm what a particular source will show.
Sending a notice
If you believe material on this site or in the published release infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes all of the following:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them;
- identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, or a representative list of works;
- enough information to locate the material: the exact URL on this site, or the app version and package name if the complaint is about the release;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for them.
Notices that omit these elements may be returned so they can be completed. Deliberately false or abusive notices may be rejected.
Where to send it
Send notices to the address published on the contact page: [email protected]. Put “DMCA notice” in the subject line and include the URL or version you are writing about.
The external host that serves the APK also runs its own complaint process. Contacting that host as well is usually the fastest way to have a specific file reviewed, because it can act on the file directly.
Counter-notice
If material was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice. It should include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of a competent court;
- a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
A counter-notice is reviewed on the same basis as a notice. Where the law allows, material may be restored if the original complainant does not take further action.
Repeat notices
Notices are recorded. If the same source or file is the subject of repeated valid notices, the related material can be removed and further publication of that build can be declined.
